The last one was amazing at the Nottingham Contemporary, serious music, killer art and threads and bags of good people. We took a mobile studio down and created an Elementz Studios stall and invited our creative kinfolk to make some riddim live and with free flowing beer. Needless to say everyone got into the spirit, we even came back with some tasty little sketches which we may or may not steal and release as our own!
Anyway, the next event is now just a week away, this time at Broadway. Mimm have put it down once again with stalls / music from Bantum, Dilk, Shrunken Heads and loads more. We’ll be bringing our mini-studio along again, so come make some music, sing-a-long-ting it, play some keys or just get hype with us.
Heres a free cut which XLR8R blogged the other day. Hold tight to our chums at Hit & Hope Records.
This is what XLR8R had to say about it…..
“The Elementz adds some serious heft to the rumbling bassline, as well as catchy and diverse drumwork, including an intriguing bit of climbing and falling pitched percussion. The duo also reworks the Aaliyah vocal sample into something less recognizable, a thankful departure from the bland and over-used R&B pitch-playing from the original.”
Heres the 1st cut out of the bag from the very promising and brand new Elementz collaborator Esther Leonard. Get acquainted with this Weeknd dub of High For This. Show some Love if you feel it people!
